Maggie Batterman (they/them, Madison, WI) developed a love of dance as a member of JoJean Retrum’s Dance Wisconsin, and continued their dance education in Chicago at the Joffrey Academy from 2016-2018. After a year in the scholarship program at Hubbard Street’s Lou Conte Dance Studio, they joined the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program, from which they graduated in 2021. Throughout their dance training, they have performed works by Alice Klock, Jiří Kylián, Crystal Pite, Sidra Bell, Erik Wagner, and Gregory Dawson. Maggie joined the Big Muddy in 2021, and enjoys teaching and working creatively in the St. Louis community.
